Bubbles, Day Spa, and Corona

I’m sure like with most couples corona has ruined a plethora of dates, weddings, anniversary's, and vacations. I know we’re all itching to get back to “normal,” but I am here to say this is the time to make the most of our predicament. This is the time as a couple, to deepen our intimacy, our connection, and bonds we have made throughout time. No matter the length, you have each other during these trying times.

So, might I propose to you the idea of hosting a day spa in your home with the one you love most. It’s sweet and simple, and not much is needed to do so. Most of what is needed should already be readily available. I’ll walk you through the visual.

Imagine your living room transforming into a delicate lobby. Soft music is drifting throughout the room provided by your favorite music platform. There’s a chilled bottle of champagne accompanied by sweet chocolates. You walk into a room lead by fake rose petals (because they’re cheap, reusable, and cost efficient). The room has the aroma of sweet vanilla, and a warm bubble bath is drawn. A bath bomb is added for good measure. You sink down into a blissful abyss feeling thankful for what you do have. You lay there for another beat more. You towel off, and put on a white clothed rope. It’s massage time. Your partner put on a heated warm rag around your neck (PS, did you know you can heat up hand towels in your crock-pot for a spa effect!) For half an hour you feel hands gently massaging all the stress and knots away. Hands that were carefully lathered by massage oil. Hot rocks are then…
